Club Notes -3rd September 2018
6K Road race
Our now annual 6K road race took place on Friday last. There was a great turn-out for the event which was well organised in advance and expertly run on the day. Many thanks to all those who took part and a special thanks to Declan Murray and his assistants and the many stewards who contributed to the safe running of this fund-raiser.
Lotto
Numbers drawn on Saturday, 1st September were: 5, 24, 26 & 30. There was no jackpot or match
three winners. Five lucky dips shared €150. Cormac Creamer c/o Martin Ryan, Joe, Frances & Alan Mannion c/o Joe Mannion, Elaine Dermody c/o Joe Dermody, Donal Gath c/o Tom Corcoran, Eoin Parsons c/o Martin Ryan. Promoters prize went to John Ryan. Next Jackpot is €9,050 and team 4 is on rota next week.
Fixtures:
Senior B Hurling championship, Quarter Final -Drumcullen v’s Shamocks on Saturday 8th September at 15:45 in Birr. We wish them well and encourage all supporters to travel and provide moral support. U17 Hurling Championship, Drumcullen/Seir Kieran v’s Kilcormac-Killoughey, on Wednesday 5th September at 18:30 in Kilcormac.
Field Fixtures
We host a Senior B relegation play off between Brosna Gaels and Carraig Riverstown on Sunday 9th September. Help is required from 11;00 for a 12:00 throw in with Kieran Dooley officiating.
